Statics Example: Reaction Forces (Simply Supported)

In this statics tutorial, reaction forces are found for a simply supported beam. Since the beam is in static equilibrium, we can sum the forces and equate them to zero, and we can sum the moments and equate them to zero. Doing this gives us enough equations to calculate our number of unknowns, and find the reaction forces.
